Patti Hall

Hello! My name is Patti Hall. We moved into the ward in April after living in Dallas, Texas for 23 years. Living closer to
family, especially my aging mother, brought us to Utah. I was born in Salt Lake but moved away when I was ten. I met my
husband, Miles, at BYU and had the typical courtship, engagement and marriage, all within six months. During our marriage we have lived in California, Oregon, Utah, and Texas.

My husband, Miles, is a retired dentist. After having his own practice for 10 years, he went back to school to get his MBA and worked for Cigna Insurance as their dental director. I was blessed to work from home as a medical transcriptionist for several years. I also worked in an OB-GYN office. But my favorite job was raising our four great kids. We have two boys and two girls. The oldest three are married and we have eleven grandchildren. Our youngest daughter is Tara who lives with us.

We returned one year ago from serving a mission together to Italy. Miles had served there when he was young, and I lived there with my family when I was 11 to 13 years old. Our mission was the best experience of our lives. It was a lot of hard work, but so rewarding. We met wonderful people, many who were there when Miles served 46 years ago. The scenery was just exquisite. I will show you our pictures any time you want, but there are over 12,000 of them!

I love working on Family History. I am fortunate to be the family archivist, so I have all the family pictures, letters, stories, and other documents from four generations. It will keep me busy for many years to come as I try to scan three trunk loads of memories. I also love gardening, decorating my house, reading, needlepoint, and crafts.

I am very excited to finally get unpacked and settled down. We love our home and we especially love the ward and the amazing people we have met. We are really trying to learn everyone’s name so please feel free to introduce yourselves to us.
