Rae Harward

Tell us about your family: parents? siblings? spouse? kids? grandkids?
Both parents are turning 90 this year and still living on their own.  (Dad in St. George and mom in Boise, Idaho). I have 3 sisters.  Married to Stan Harward for 45 years.  We have 3 sons and 2 daughters, all married, and 17 grandchildren.

What do you and/or your spouse do for a living?
I’m retired from Alpine School District, and Stan is the Associate Dean of the School of Education at Utah Valley University.

What brought you to the area?
I grew up in Idaho, came to BYU, and we have always stayed here.  We raised our children in Orem, but when I retired we moved to American Fork and love it here.

I recommend everyone try ____________ at least once because:
Being an ordinance worker in the temple.

What activities inspire you or give you peace?
Road trips.

What advice would you give your younger self?
Relax and enjoy the ride that life will be!

Do you feel like you’ve found your “purpose” in life? If so, what is it?
Live life as a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

How would you like people to remember you?
As a good person, a great mom, and an extraordinary grandmother.
