My Place in HIStory is a timeline that extends from Premortality all the way to the Millennium, with Christ as the central focus. Sponsored by American Heritage School, the purpose of this project is to help students—and adults—to find their place in HIStory (Christ’s story) by learning from the stories of the major figures who moved His work forward throughout all of history. It also helps students in multiple disciplines put other area-specific historical figures in context under this “umbrella” of HIStory. My deepest wish is that you will find a figure you connect with, and are inspired to live up to the privileges and calling God has set aside for you.
There are 23 unique images that will be painted in both monochrome and full color versions, each on 30″ x 40″ panels. These original panels will be on display at both campuses for American Heritage School: the American Fork Campus (full-color set), and the Salt Lake Campus (monochrome set). Five are part of the “pillars,” which will be painted as 60″ x 80″ murals. This makes a total of 51 paintings before the project will be complete. Each painting will have an accompanying video to tell the story behind the artwork and hopefully encourage you to apply the principles from the lives of those who have courageously obeyed God’s calling.
