Motherhood: Prints

When my baby was born at 25 weeks, motherhood turned out to be quite different than I thought it would be. This painting is inspired by the process of grief and acceptance I had to go through in order to accept reality, and the details of how Isaiah brought me comfort at just the right time. Details for all Print purchases:

• The option “~8×11 print + border = 11×14” is an option to purchase a loose print with no mounting or framing. These prints come with a border that makes the overall size 11×14 guaranteed, but the image itself will vary in size depending on the dimensions of the original. To last a long time, this loose print will need to be custom framed with glass, but a mat is optional.
• The option “7.5 x 11.25” are all paper prints with images that are cropped to fit that size exactly and are only available framed (options available are all roughly 2.5” frames). Because these prints are protected with a UV-resistant spray, they do not need glass, which is great for children; they are easy to ship, and are overall our most economical option for a fully-finished, ready-to-hang print.
• All canvas prints (often referred to as “giclee” are produced with the highest-quality UV-resistant inks available, and will give the best results with the full range of lights, darks, and colors in every print. The frame options for all canvas prints range from .75 to 3.5 inches wide. Some of the frames are the same color/style as the 2.5” frames on the prints, but are 3.5” wide to accommodate larger canvases. All framed canvas prints will come mounted on rigid foam unless large enough to require stretching on canvas. Unframed canvas will come with a 2” white canvas border, which gives flexibility for mounting options when taken for custom framing. Unframed canvas will be rolled and delivered in a tube for economical shipping.
